I just put two new potenzas on... 400 each from Bridgestone select
Hi guys, keen to find out which tyres you've changed to once your factory fronts wore out, I'm currently running with the Bridgestone Potenza's but it seems there's better out there - Michelin Super Sports etc. How much have you ended up paying? I've heard about Tire Rack but I was thinking somewhere a bit more local in this instance, there are enough tyres companies around to get some price competition (you'd think anyway).

2012 - Scirocco R Candy White DSG , Sunroof + GPS.
I put Conti Contact Sport 5's on. They've lasted much longer than my original Bridgestone RE50's. Not as soft, so it rides a little harsher, but they seem to grip slightly better though.
thanks for the replies, the ContiSportContact 5 get a good review - Continental ContiSportContact 5 | Auto Express (online price $407)
I went to a few tyre places earlier and each one gives a different opinion, the Yokohama V105's apparently offer good grip and come in at $420, the others mentioned were the Pirelli Zero brand.
I've got a few thousand kms left on the fronts so will need to make up my mind soon.

I got PS3s recently for $222 a corner fitted (225/40 R18s ) at Bob Jane (price match against Tempe Tyres).
Very happy with them. Had PS2s previously on my A3 which I rated.

Don't seem to be able to get the PS3's in the 235/35/19 size
I will give the Goodyear Croydon guys a call tomorrow though regarding those F1-A2's
Thanks all

I had 4 x F1-A2's fitted 6 weeks ago. They are definitely quieter than the Potenzas, and if all reports are correct the wet weather performance is up there with the best tyres. I drove yesterday in the rain and it felt rock solid.
I don't want to rave about them too highly as of course new rubber is going to be awesome, but I am very happy.
I had 22000km on the Potenzas btw.
The Michelin super sports are awesome! They give great grip but still maintain a good tread wear rating. Not sure if your local but the guys at Tyre power north Melbourne always look after me
