    spacer question

    Hey Guys,

If i'm running stock wheels with H&R lowering kit on the roc what is a good size bolt on spacer to go to sit nicely on a daily ride?

I tried searching the forums and couldn't find the answers to what i needed

    Thanks

    D

Personal opinion on what fits nicely and what doesnt. Throw a tape measure on the wheel and see how much you would like it to come out. 5mm = 5mm spacer.
Keep in mind they are illegal in OZ. Make sure you get a decent quality one with correct specs and botls

If you want to stay legal then get a new set of wheels with the correct offset.

Yeah I wasn't saying anything about not liking the stock wheels. You just need to get a wheel (OEM or not) with a different offset

If you want to fill out the guards you need to go to some thing like 18 or 19x8 ET35.

I ran a 12.5mm on the stock wheels without any problems with the H&R kit, and I've seen 15mm on the same. 15mm is probably as far as you'd want to go before you get undue attention.

Running now 12.5mm spacer on 19x8.5 ET45 (so that's equivalent of nearly ET33).

Hey DVSTwig, did you use your stock bolts?

With a spacer anything more than say 5mm you really should use new extended bolts...

Agreed, I used extended bolts. I even purchased another four VW plastic caps so that I you didn't see them. 1 of the 4 stock caps is to fit the lock nut, and wont fit the extended nuts.

    EDIT:

This is the set I'm using

I reckon you can come out 15-20mm to sit flush. Not sure if you want to actually go that far with a spacer tho
