Servicing
Hi Guys,
Looking to use a local to service my Rocco - does anyone know if this will void warranty etc / implications?
Qualified mechanic, stamp logbook etc.
Cheers!

I would recommend that you get genuine filters but there's nothing to stop you going to anywhere you like. Obviously if/when you come to sell the car a book full of VW stamps looks good but so does a handful of invoices to show the work has been done.

No you should be fine. There is a place called northernvolks near kawana in commerse avenue. They do a lot of vw audi euro cars. Give them a go.

Aslong as you use Genuine parts and the service book is carried out EXACTLY as it's supposed to be you're sweet. Dealers can provide software updates and everything you need as part of the service and also carry out your service to the book which does usually make them better, but some independents can be good too..
Be aware of places like lube mobile, ultratune, autotune etc as most the time all they do is just replace oil and oil filter, when in actual fact you need other stuff too, e.g. pollen filters, air filters, brake fluid, dsg oil blah blah.

Thanks guys. Yeah I checked with vwa and they also said part specific is very important. Must be correct oil, qualified mechanic and as per service book.
Yeah have heard of those guys in kawana going to give a guy in maroochydore a go called JKU.
They are on the forum here I believe.
Cheers
