Yeah they seem like a top quality product. You can't go wrong with German made.
I think I might go the VWR springs at least for now.
Yes the price of the ACC KW coilovers are challenging aren't they?
Seem like a top product though.

Actually I think you will find either the VWR or Eibach springs to actually ride better than Stock... VWR are made by Eibach specifically for VWR but the premise is still the same...Ride comfort should be better than stock..
I have Eibach and I can comfortably drive around all day every day in sport mode if I want..and I certainly could not do that with the Stock springs.... it was just too harsh.
Comfort setting is a little more compliant.. to be honest... I dont think I have ever had mine in Normal...lol

I'm abit confused ...the vwr springs make the ride less harsh and more comfortable ? Thought it would go the other way and be harsher, feel the bumps more etc ?!?

Audi S3 Sedan - Riviera Blue Exclusive paint, PP2, H&R Super Sport springs
Tim,
So I take that to mean that they are more compliant and less harsh despite the reduced ride height. Is that right?
Is so they sound like a good thing.

Ummm I am not sure what has got up your nose... but if you hadn't realised I was giving MY opinion..
And you are WRONG by saying that lower means harsher...it is all about spring rates...wire thickness etc... The VWR ones are Linear not progressive and while initially may be a higher than initial rate on the factory spring they will be lower overall...still firm but not as harsh...
This allows the shocks to actually do what they are meant to do.... Absorb shocks
The Eibach springs that I have are progressive but are a lower rate than the factory springs and with a different progression... hence I have better ride than stock... and the handling is improved as is traction...
I could not drive around my local area in Sport with the factory springs... they were way too harsh and would crash on the slightest bump... so I tended to drive mostly in Comfort until I fitted the Eibachs....

Wow lots of discussion. I like this though cos I really need to once and for all work out if I get these springs or not. If Andy is right then they sound great!! I don't want to compromise an already very firm ride on the rocco.
Seems that what Andy and Tim are saying is the same??
Hey.. don't just take what I am saying as gospel...give Tim a call and talk it over... Call Eibach in Sydney and talk to them as well...
Ultimately it is your bum on the seat that decides if it suits you or not....
Ultimately the KW with DCC is the best option... with the iPhone addition you can tailor each corner to suit your exact requirements in terms of bump and rebound etc... Talk to Dan down at RTR... their Golf R was far and away the best suspension setup in the Motor Hot Tuner Challenge so they really know what they are doing...
I have a few other little things to do before I consider the KW's... but I will get them eventually.
