Here's what mine put down at the Perth Dyno Day in October/November. Weather was around 33C and dry, car display was showing 40C when it came out of the workshop after its run which obviously isn't awesome for turbos. I'm happy with it's performance, particularly once rolling. Viezu look like they have a good tune too. As well as GIAC extreme, etc, etc, etc....

APR Stage 1 (V3.1 file) and Volant CAI

    208kw @ wheels
    224kw @ engine
    386Nm of torque

APR's quite generous with their numbers... I have yet to dyno my car yet but I'm pretty sure it's not the 60+bhp they're advertising

As far as 0-100 times go... I've consistently been getting circa 5.5s with launch control, ~6.0s without. I'm running APR stage 1 with stock RE05 tyres. At the end of the day, it's still a FWD car and launches won't be great. 80-160 sprint... that's a whole different thing altogether...

208 ATW? well that doesn't seem like APR is off on their numbers. As far as I can see that is almost spot on. Well done Greggo! Awesome results

Cheers mate, I was happy with the result.. Still not sure if the dyno was generous on the day compared to the stage 1 Golf R results i've seen on here, but a lot of the other cars there on the day M3, GTIs (golf/polo), R32s were all fairly close to their expected numbers so who knows? All I can say is, you'll enjoy any reputable stage 1 tune, plus the added bonus of better fuel economy when driving sedately haha.

    Stage 2 to come..

Ok Guys, So today I had my APR Tune, VWR CAI, and VWR Springs installed by Derek and his crew at Europeon Autotech,

So what do I think - Holy Sh*T!!!!!!

HUGE Difference from stock, so much nicer than evo's ive driven alot which had 200awkw+, It pulls sooooo hard now all the way to red line - kick up a gear and it pulls hard again!, I am very impressed.

I cannot believe you can get this sort of power out of just a tune and CAI. I was expecting a good result from all the feedback from everyone but surely not this much power! I am very happy!

The intake makes a real difference to sound of the car aswell... so much induction noise, I can even hear the blow off valve...

Haven't got the CAI but agree with your assessment of the car once tuned Toy. What i love is the car feels on boost all the time. Previously it felt a bit flat below 2k. IMHO it is a case of a good car made much better.

The VWR springs work well too. Ride quality the same the look much improved.

Congrats on the upgrade, good fun indeed!

Did you plastidip your wheels or gone something more permanent? I'm looking at doing the same with a gloss finish.

yeah I plastidiped them, they look so good. I put some photos in the wheels section if you want to check it out... very very robust stuff... and you can gloss if you like with glossifier which you can buy from the same company that sells plastidip

You are now down a slippery slope....glad you see the value in a tune and what these engines are capable of. Welcome to the club!

I just had the VWR CAI installed...singature updated

Nothing significant to report yet except that any reports about it being loud seem to be totally incorrect

I have no idea what you mean, My induction noise trippled... that is not an exaggeration. My neighbour event commented on it before I had chance to tell him I had my intake upgraded..... Where did you get it installed? Did they remove the engine cover aswell? (I think this is pretty standard anyway to fit the intake)
