So started on the modding slippery slope today.

Have ordered and APR tune and VWR springs. There's a back log on the springs so it might be a little while.

Car is 7 months old today (in registration terms) so I think I've been quite patient compared to some. More patience now required with the wait on the springs. It seems like waiting is the VW way.

I did APR stage 1 ECU update today and I am extremely impressed with the improvement in power and driveability. I haven't had a chance to get out of town yet but what I've seen so far is awesome.

I havent had a chance to observe for long enough yet but it hasnt gotten any worse than the 17.0-18.0L I've seen over the first 3000Kms lol

All reports are it will improve. I'll keep an eye on it. I really want the CAI now, but I feel springs might be more beneficial to help off-set the arse end dipping under acceleration.
