I know its been said before, but why not just get the Euro plates. Covers up the holder and IMO look better than the larkin plate holder which still extends beyond the number plate*.

Because the only Euro plate suitable in NSW is non custom white (any personal choice for letters/numbers = slimline Euro plate same dimensions as the premium plate shown here).

Pulled the trigger and ordered some H&R sport springs for around $250 landed from Europe after deliberating on KW DDC coilovers for too long.. can't justify 2.5-3.5k on handling/lows.. yet!

The Golf R guys seems pretty happy with them, also had the same type on my old polo..

    Next - tune.

Lol I love your disclaimer. Yes I agree its not perfect but its better then before. Personally I dont like the Euro plates so this was the next best option for now. When I repaint the front bumper further down the track I will get the holes plugged in properly.

The day we picked up our R and got it home the first thing i did was removed that bulky and horrible looking Oem bracket.

After doing removing it the last thing i wanted to do was to put on another bracket (not to mention the prices for the lakin brackets that i received was ridiculous) I wanted mine to sit flush and smooth so i shaped mine to the bumper.

    Anyway here's mine........

Just as importantly what are you replacing them with, or do we have to wait for the big reveal like Bec?

The current ones are a Breyton GT Replica in 19x8.5...
The replacements... hmmm no reveal until they are on the car... but they are forged...and definitely not black..

Bec seems like you have been waiting for your tyres longer than you were waiting for the car.
