Thread: Scirocco R - Best Colour?

  1. #61

I agree, go with what you originally wanted. If you go for a faster compromise you will never be as happy with it and a couple of months will be worth the wait.

And I thinking it will costs some extra for the dealer to fit the RNS when I can get it for the deal I've done
    Opinions welcome.
I wouldn't settle for anything less than you want... or have your heart set on.
You have your Bimmer, and apart from having the satisfaction of taking ownership of a Scirocco sooner, there is no real benefit in taking the CW option (Not that CW isn't a lovely shade.... )

I would also advise to stick with your orginal order. Once have had the car for a while you will regret compromising. If you wait, once you have the car the wait will be forgotten.

I speak from experience, I was promised my Golf R 5 months from order, actually receive it 10 months from order. I had sold my old car was was driving a 30 yr old non airconditioned commodore in the heat of summer. The wait was painful and after each delay i looked for alternatives and thought about compromising but I didn't and just hung in there. When i think about the delay now, i am glad i waited.

Thanks everyone - I decided to stick with the original plan...

But that was before the good news. My dealer rang today and they have managed to do a stock swap. The car I'm now getting was to go to Brisbane as a dealer order but is now staying on the boat and coming to Melbourne. The white car ordered by my dealer comes off the boat in Brisbane.

Everyone is happy.. and when does this all happen. Boat arrives April 28th with delivery now due mid May.

That is two months earlier than the original delivery and a whopping 4 months sooner the revised delivery I got this time last week.

    Happy -- you bet.

Now the $64,000 (no, not quite) question? Does anyone want a 2009 135i black bimmer coupe with just 17k on the clock?

Thanks she-dub. What looked like 6 months wait a few days ago turns into 6 weeks. Gotta be happy with that!
