I was back in NZ a couple of weeks ago and was lucky enough to be one of the first in the country to drive one. Had a go in the 2.0T, was great fun. Not only feels better on the road than a GTi, but feels infinitely more special too. Talked my Mum into getting one too, so a grey one on 18s is currently on order. Will be sure to post pics next time i am home. Oz definitely should get this car.
im hangin out to see a scirocco in the flesh.
Im trying to like it. I really am! Even thinking of ditching the GTI for one if they come here. It just looks so awkward from some angles. But then all the reviews say its pretty!? so confused
I'm struggling to like it too, it looks hideous from some angles, i love to front of it, but thats too much like a Mk6 Golf now for it to stand out. That aside it is said to be a great drivers car so at least they got that right!
NZ gets a better deal than here, they got a dozen or so Corrados new too.
I'll believe it when I see them in the showroom

yeah, front end is sooo good looking, rear end they ran out of styling budget,
there is so much more they could have done to create some great curves on the rear flanks to make it truly inspirational as per the original Mk 1's back in 74 when they were first shown...sigh....
Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...
If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??
Cheers,
Grant...
Definatley worth a test drive
