    Rubber trim around window frames

Used a Meguiars rubber trim conditioning product on the rubber around the window frames as it was starting to look dry n daggy which surprised me and it came up a treat.
Definetely worth the time to apply. How do the rubbers seem to be holding up in the Southern States.

Mine are OK but I tend to wipe them over with a conditioner each time I was the car anyway...
This was a problem with the Golf boys too I think...caused some extra noise in the cabin after a while.
The Scirocco is less likely to cause any noise due to the pillarless design and the door locking into the side rails for added structural rigidity.

Still you dont want your rubber to be dry...

    You stay classy Andy.

In the Mk6 Golf the rubber seals around the B pillar can squeak and rattle if they've not been treated just right (krytox will prevent them from squeaking in most cases). Often happens when the rubber expands after being in the sun.

If this thread moves towards rubber treatment I might move it to the Bodywork/Trim & Detailing subforum.
