    Rim choices..

With the imminent arrival of our new pride and joys, I thought it prudent we had a discussion on rim choices.

Do you plan to replace your talladega's? If so what are you looking at getting? Style, size, colour choice?

Im planning to source some 20's for mine but im finding it difficult to find a rim that will fit our cars. Namely the PCD is the issue.

    Can someone confirm the following:
    Scirocco R - 5x112 PCD
20's possible up to a max of 9 inches
Can 255/30 (or 265) rubber sit under the guards without rubbing? If yes, can it still work with the car lowered?

So far im leaning away from dish as I dont think it will work all that well with this style of car. Ive looked into the ETA BETA rims that Reiger have on theirs but I can only find 1 place that sources them in Aus and they want $3600 for the 4 rims.

Would love to hear peoples thoughts?
Scirocco R - Candy White, Sat Nav,tinted windows, H&R Springs, 19x9 ETA BETA Tettsut X Black rims.

Audi S3 Sedan - Riviera Blue Exclusive paint, PP2, H&R Super Sport springs

Best bet is to source something from the US.
    Eta Beta are nice wheels.

I would look into some Breyton's or a larger mesh type wheel.

    Or you could go OEM

Ive always had a love for the Breyton Vision II's but I dont think they will suit this car. Might photoshop some on to my car once I get it to see its possibilities.

In regards to sourcing from the US, I still cant find an ETA BETA reseller there either!

I'm finding the UK forums useful. Not that I've looked at rims. With the release there nearly two years ago there are some guys with a fair bit of modding experience. Worth a lok at least.

    Rforum, sciroconet and scirocco central.
Scirocco: Indium Grey, DSG, pana roof, Sat/Nav, Dynaudio, VWR springs and APR stage 1. Now sold
Arriving April 17 Audi S3 sedan, Panther black, S-tronic, PP2, pano, matrix lights, assistance pack, 40:20:40 seats, mirror pack, light inlays

Tiguan: Tiguan 162TSI, DAP and pano in Habanero

Have a good look at this thread 10d's Roc - Page 43
10d's Rocco runs 265's and the stance is just perfect... the thread is long but there are plenty of good pics and a few different wheel types used along the way...

if the rocco is anything like other vws you can fit more width by lowering more...
will 20s look a little odd at stock height? that would be my only worry
5x112 is one of the best PCDs out there. merc, vw, audi all share it, can also run 5x114.3 jab wheels if you know what your doing

Awesome! 10d has done alot to his car. I think he had changed out the lower arms before putting on the 9.5" wide rims with 265 tyres. Oh well, i guess ill just have to buy them and see.

The lower control arms are a later addition I think... 10d is very approachable... send him a PM and ask.
