Andy which dealer had it?
Nope... the Electric window switch is in the armrest, the one down low on the door pocket is the rear hatch release.
Well went for a half reasonable spin today... the Stealership reneged on allowing me to take it out by myself for an hour or so.. so I had a short drive with a Salesman in the back seat... so no stopping for pictures unfortunately... but Phaetons are better anyway...
Impressions.... tons of grunt... LOVE the exhaust.. the Phht on up changes but even more the blip on downchanges with DSG.
No tug on the wheel at all, although I was a long way off really giving it the beans.
Comfort mode on the suspension was OK... I think I will drive with it on Comfort most of the time and go to Sport for good twisties... although Sport wasn't too harsh..
Steering was light and very responsive, seating position was fantastic and for a fat fart like me the seat was perfect.
Vision out of the rear was fine...I didn't listen to the Stereo on the drive... the exhaust note was too enticing...
Boot space is fine for my needs.
I love that the window drops slightly when opening the door... and when you close it the window goes back up...
My only gripe is that I couldn't have it longer and that I have to wait until the end of January early Feb to get my very own Scirocco...

The one I drove is Nepean Motor Group at Penrith... but we drove past Barloworld at Five Dock today and they have a Viper Green one sitting outside in the Sun.
Jump online and book yourself a Test drive... There will be plenty of Stealers in Melbourne with Demo's, just don't tell them you already have one on Order...till after the drive... lol.

Thats a picture of the Golf R interior
As stated above its behind the trianglular door handle, the lower button is for the boot.
BTW Eos and Scirocco share centre console as both are made in Portugal and VW likes to save a penny where possibly - still a good looking interior.

Yeah yeah... it was always meant to be for comparison... I figured everyone would realise it was a Golf R interior....
I actually thought when I had the (Official VWA Press pics) that I had inserted "from Golf R" ... for clarity... guess I missed it..
Anyway... the Cluster is slightly different... in that it is slightly wider with the Odo reset button etc in the lower corners parallel to the bottom of the cluster.. In Golf R they are tight against the Gauges.
As the interior is slightly wider than a Golf R it feels all in proportion. Just as the seats fetl that little bit wider than on a Golf R (suits my build perfectly)...
I had my Son and the VW Sales guy in the back and they are both over 6ft tall, and neither seemed to be overly cramped or knees around their armpits etc. My son said the ride in the backseat was good.. and the Aural symphony was great...
I am going to start looking for nice canyoned roads to try out once I get mine.... with windows down..
And there are good options for Carbon Fibre inserts for the Centre Console and Door handles too...

Thanks for the updates, they are really useful. I have not driven one as yet but i saw one at the dealer and it looked great and its everything i thought it would be. Looking forward to driving it.
Im thinking that the delivery will be late jan but the dealer wont commit to that at the moment. VW are hopeless when it comes to delivering cars. I have a BMW dealer hassling me to buy a new 328 when it is released in march with delivery when it is released yet VW cannot deliver a car that has been in production and that i ordered 6 mths ago. If i have to wait any longer than the 3rd week of jan i may have to give that 328 bmw some serious consideration. I think Vw need to get their act together. Come on VW you can do it, just get them here and deliver them! Just my little rant
Do you have the VIN number? If you do then you can track the boat... If your Stealer is straight up then they will be able to provide you all the details you need to find out when it will be here...
That still most likely wont get you the car by 3rd week of Jan as they are talking Feb Official release and no cars will be actually sold before then..at least that is what I am being told...

If anyone is interested, there is a Rising Blue Scirocco R at Kloster VW in Newcastle. I just had a look at it this morning - lovely looking car. If your interested, give them a call and ask for Terry Knight - he was my salesman and he is a top bloke.
had a look at a rising blue scirocco on the gold coast today.. honestly, I love the front.. the back I'm very undecided.. it would not make me sell my Golf R though. The only thing that would make me sell my car to get it would be GREEN.. it looks amazing! Might check out some brisbane dealers tomorrow to find a green one to take for a spin..
We are on the look for a car for the gf.. maybe the scirocco could be it really want to see a polo R released now!
