guess I should make a post here too.

I've received my scirocco R. I didn't order but (as above) bought one off the floor that was a cancelled order. got a pretty good deal and it has the audio and navi (no pani roof but didn't particularly want one either).

they are a great little car. I've had some fast cars and the 'rocco is not super powerful but still a properly quick street car. great fun to drive and comes with all the nice options (electric seat adjustment would be nice though).

so if you see my indium grey driving along feel free to give a wave or flash or whatever scirocco owners do.

thanks mac135. it's basically a slightly higher, slower version of yours! I was actually considering a 135i instead of the 'rocco. but in the end I liked the 'rocco more.

I'm surprised the indium grey is not more popular. I guess it takes all types.

I'm happy the indium is not everyone's first choice. I was going to buy the blue (which I still like) then the demo I drove was an indium. That did the trick for me. I had, a few years ago now, an A3 turbo is a similar colour. Liked that too - maybe I'm a grey guy like you.

I love the Roc when compared to the 135. Would I like the interior to be a bit more special? Yes. But apart from that as a real world daily driver the Roc wins hands down for me.

I like your use of dark metal grey too.

agree on the interior. about the only thing I'd want is electric seat adjustment (and electric steering column adjustment would be nice too). apart from that I understand it's meant to be 'sporty' so doesn't have leather etc.

yeah I quite like the blue too but I felt the grey gives it a more modern look. white seems to be popular (is that because it's cheaper? lol), I'm not a fan of the green and surprisingly I don't really like it in silver either. but I could happily have blue, white or black.

i miss the lumber support that i had on the gti leather seats.
other then that, not too fussed about electric seats as i am the only one who drives it, so seat doesnt move once set up for me

yeah I am a sucker for dark grey (gun metal grey). I have owned about 4 R32 GTRs in gun metal grey (also had white, black and silver though) had an R34 GTR in the closest colour to gun metal grey (dark silver) and when I got my R35 GTR I ordered it in what they called 'dark metal grey' (more politically correct than gun metal grey... but the same colour). also had a subaru liberty in that colour. I like black too but GMG does does it for me on most cars.
