it is a chrome [ or stainless ] covering that clips
over the gutter. This may be a different gutter to yours.

Early Scirocco uses aluminium extrusion, very easy to bend out of shape, has a tiny slot in the rain gutter at each end for a dimple in the ali to clip into.

Later versions use the clear plastic coated foil stuff, which with sun action goes brittle and yelows, usually falls apart trying to remove it. Held on with a black mastic stuff.

it hangs beneath the Bumper....already has a number plate light there - connected and working.
Shame I cant get all the headlights to work.

this one has been drilled at the ends where dimple was.
Its sitting up a little bit due to paint.

the Sirocco sign on the rear needs the original number plate lights fitted in
to give it that " Lairy night time " look.
I was wondering if white neon strips would illuminate it better. Will try the lights first.
Maybe a switch to flickering light could be fun - or good for braking.
