Just thought i'd say hi from the UK! (Sciroccos in the UK)

Hi Fellas.Just surfed onto your site by accident really, but it looked a good place to be so i have now registered !. Let me inroduce myself, my names Andy, i live in Lincolnshire in the UK and i normally post on the Scirocco Register forum in the UK as i currently own 2 Mk2's, a 1987 Scala (Carb) in Paprika Red, and a 1992 GT2 (Carb) in Silver grey Met. I have had 17 VW's in the 20 odd years i have held a licence, and (so far !) 4 of these have been Scirocco's...my favourite model VDub !.I work in a Hospital in Nottinghamshire, and will soon be indulging my love of Rocs when i use the Scala in a fundraiser for Leukaemia Research (UK). To see what i am talking about, have a look at this link.

Hope to speak to some of you guys soon and have a look at some of your motors.Cheers !

    Welcome!

Nice 'rocco mate! Welcome aboard. The only 'roccos we have here are personal imports as VWA (in their infinite wisdom ) chose not to bring them in. We have a couple of nice examples (see Golf Loon's 'rocco and search for posts by roccodingo. He's in Perth and a fanatic!)

I'm going to move this post to the appropriate forum as enthusiasts are more likey to see it there.

    Keep on posting

Cheers fellas, nice welcome. As it happens a close friend and workmate of mine has just upped sticks and emigrated to Oz about three weeks ago, he and his family are going to set up home around the Sydney area...lucky bugger !.Can't believe that Rocs are so rare over there , should have popped one in his cargo container for him to bring over .Apparently there are about 20,000 Rocs of various mks still in circulation within the UK, so we could spare you a few .
