    Export charges in NZ $3335
    Import charges in AUS $1433
    Registration charges in AUS $1208
    Total NZD $5976 - wasn't quite $7k

Here are some pics of my two, the black one is for sale in NZ at the moment, but I havn't owned it for over a year, so I could only export my blue one.. (sorry I don't have any better pics of the blue one at the mo!)

You'd cry about how cheap they are here in the Middle East...I have seen them as low as about $1500 !!

A few of my mates in the VW Club here have them, and one is currently doing a Audi 3.2V6 conversion to his.

But unfortunately, most 2nd hand cars are not looked after here, so the condition is usually pretty bad....

I was lucky to find my 2 door MkIV GTI from it's Original (Western ) owner .....................

I see youtube clips with guys in their Lambos and vegrons and other exotics flying down dead straight sandy roads in Dubai... seem like that all they can afford. NO wonder why corrados cost as much as a their dinner over there.

    Anyways.... always love the Corrado.

believe me you've never seen so many supercars as there are here...however the realists like myself are here to earn the tax tax free income, and if I do indulge, I will bring back probably a 911 or something that I can keep LHD in Oz...in the meantime, I'm enjoying my $7k GTI turbo, about a third of what you'd pay back home, and it's a 2 door....maybe it could be a good track car...hmmm I wonder how many cars you can get in a 40ft container??

    Dumped Corrado 16v in Dubai

Just spotted a Black 16v with a nice red leather interior, sitting, very dust-smeared on the street near my work (amongst the thousands of building sites)The guys in my V-dub club say it's been there for ages, but this week the Council 'Notice to remove' or off to the scrap auctions was afixed...so watch this space I may buy one just for the hell of it!

    Carpoid,

is yours the one that was 4 sale last year in Bangalow NSW, last year??

I spotted it on the web, from over here, and as having spent the last 5 years in nearby Lennox Head prior to the Middle-East, I wish I'd seen it b4 4sale well ...that's life.

Hi, yeah i lived in Clunes on the Bangalow Road, i had it up for sale for a little while, only on this forum though, and got more people telling me i should keep it than any serious interest in it.
I was persuaded to keep it in the end, thankfully, and i moved down to Melbourne a couple of months ago. I imported it myself from the UK in 2005 and had it in Sydney for the first 2 years.

Lennox is a nice spot, could see myself moving back there one day.

So, can you post that red leather interior over please !!
