H & R/Eibach springs and affect on stock shocks

    Hi all,

Bit of a nub when it comes to suspension mods but I am looking into lowering my rocco, I have been told by a friend of mine that the addition of lowered springs will destroy my stock shocks, and advised me against it,

After doing some research I am getting mixed results and from what I can see adding aftermarket springs to a car with old shocks can cause stock shocks to break rather quickly, some reported within 10,000 km's

So my car only has 3700 kms on it, its brand new almost so what is the experience or advise from other forum members here?

Have you read about the vwr ones ? I'm looking at them because they are designed to work with the stock shocks. Well ... That's what the blurb says anyways....

the concern with stock shocks and lowered springs is that improper matching may allow the shocks to bottom out. If this doesn't happen, then there will not be an issue
