yeah I have to agree with you on that, the changes that have been made are mainly cosmetic and for me they make it a little bit too fussy (particularly at the back). If they had moved the car onto the MQB platform then it might have been more tempting to update but I love the current style. I'll still take a look at it once it hits the showrooms, maybe it's prettier in person

I'm looking to downsize(from a FG Falcon);the Golf R and the Scirocco R are on my list of possible replacements.
There is a Scirocco R(DSG) for sale at my local dealership for $49,888 Driveaway I am tempted but,the review on Carsales talking about the facelifted model make it sound like the ride is absolutely awful! For current owners of the Scirocco R what is your opinion on the ride quality?
Does the current Scirocco have the same engine and dsg as the current Golf R?What actually are the most important differences between the upcoming Scirocco R and the current model, apart from the cosmetic changes?
Any opinions/insights on the Scirocco R would be much appreciated...thanks in advance.

Ride quality is subjective. I drive with DCC in normal mode whilst my wife tend to set it to comfort. The Golf R is slightly softer in normal mode possibly because it's heavier. But by the same tocken the Scirocco is slightly sharper in performance.

I would suggest you take the car for a drive to decide.

The ride quality is harsh but i like that kind of suspension. Rocco does have the same engine and gearbox as the gold r. The rocco now and the upcoming rocco its all interior, exterior changes, they have messed with the timing for little bit better fuel economy and boost comes on earlier apart from that same same.
