Hi
I have spotted one driving around Maida vale / High Wycombe area,
Ian
There was a black early car in Melbourne too, was totalled apparently, bought the doors, screen and dash from the fella too. Think Tim knows the bloke. He was the one who informed me there were 6 original evaluation cars.
Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...
If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??
Cheers,
Grant...

Hi,
I would say it is a light metallic green.

That was a crazy car. Probly the nicest mk1 scirocco ive ever seen. Cant remember the specs of it cos it was many years ago. But it was Black, low, loud, had zender wheels and was running a link stand alone system. Poor Mat was gutted when he got rear ended by some clueless twat! Car was a writeoff
I used to own a Mk1 yellow Scirocco last registered as PAN 403 in NSW. This was one of the motorshow cars that VWA brought in.
It was badly rusted when I bought it and I used another (red) bodyshell and spent over $16000 getting it to assembly stage with a bare metal 2 pack respray etc etc then had to sell it when I closed my motor racing business in 2000.
I sold it for a fraction of what it cost me to a chap in Melbourne and have since lost all trace of it.
Anyone know what came of it?
I forgot to mention that it was a TS. I seem to recall that it was the only TS brought in by VWA.

Cant get the upload image to work so you just need to follow the above link.
A few pictures of my MK1 TS just out the paint shop restored to its original color a cool viper green.
Now the fun bit remembering where everything went!
Nice looking car. Love that green.

I love it, looks fantastic!
Viper green really is a cool colour for something that's 30 years old!
