    Questions...

Hey Guys, so I just picked up my new Roc on Monday and am absolutely LOVING it!! But there was just a few things I wanted to ask..

    1. Has anyone else noticed a condensation build up on the interior front lights at night? Mine can get a bit foggy at night right where the indicator lights are..

    2. Is there a way to make the mirrors fold in when the car gets locked automatically?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Cheers

Have a search for "Condensation" in the Golf Mk6 forum - there's quite a bit on it in there. Such as:

The scirocco mirrors already have motors in them.

If you turn the mirror adjustment knob to one of the settings they will automatically fold in, so if you want them to fold when you lock and open your car i would think you just need to find the right codes to be able to program it via Vagcom.

I'm sure there's coding through vagcom that will allow u to do this. I've checked all of the convenience features on the MFD and its not in there. So vagcom is the answer.

    1. As said, there is a bulletin (very old). Happens for about 1 - 2 months from delivery, then settles down to nothing unless its a really very damp day.

If however you are experiencing water gathering in the bottom of the headlight unit, then suspect a leak in the unit. There have been one or two headlight units from the factory like this in the UK over the last 4 years where it was a leak.

    2. Its not possible to code in the MFD or VCDS, door controllers do not have the programming like SEAT/SKODA. You will need an electronic gizzmo to do that in the circuit. No one is marketing as far as I know. Central? No, lots of wishful thinking, (Horse's mouth ) One guy was making his own but has not returned so far to say its done.

Just have to remember to move the switch position to "fold" before opening the driver's/passenger's door, after turning the igntion off if you didn't do it while the engine was still running.

    Cool. Thanks guys.

One other thing I just noticed, is that my left side mirror does not rotate down when in reverse. The option is ticked in the MFD but it's not happening.. Any thoughts?

you need to select the LH mirror when you are in reverse. Also to pre-select the mirror angles to set it up.
