Happy with my 19's and the ride though would expect a bit more compliance from 18's?
I've got news that the Scirocco will be offered with the 18 inch wheels as a no cost option from June. It should help the skateboard ride and give the car better composer over mid-corner bumps... Let me know what you guys think!

VW Australia has been keen to address the critics with the smaller wheels being offered. Trust me the 18s make a world of difference, especially with the ACC which believe it or not DOES NOT support the 19 inch wheel option. The engineers did all the work for the ACC using the 18 inch wheels and it certainly shows. The car rides much better on them and you might not believe this but it also handles a bit better as the car has better compliance over bumps and pot-holes mid-corner.

No, don't get me wrong. I would believe the 18's would offer a more compliant ride - just saying that I don't really have any issues with the comfort of the 19's, though I try to avoid bumps or holes in the road.
The ride is the one thing that does seem to have caused negative comment from the critics, though critics being critics they are supposed to find something that could be improved. At least in the case of the ride they are commenting on something worthwhile- not the usual the back seat is cramped. Hello its a coupe (sort of)!

What style are the offering in the 18"? Is it just smaller Talladega's?
I was just told by my dealer that 18" isn't an option...? So if anyone can verify from a dealer or brochure...
