    What does this mean?

Now - this could be a very simple question, but I am perplexed...

My VR6 comes up with the message "in01" or something similiar on the display when i start it. What does this mean? Is it an error code? Is my car just saying hello when i start it?

It's been doing it since we got it about 2 years ago - but now it is mine, I would like to know what it means (and if there is any cause for concern).

Any light shed on this would little message will be very much appreciated.
    Thanks
    Steph

Its the service indicator. It can be reset via the clocks, cant remember how, but you can google it.
Or someone with VagCom can reset it for you.

Thanks so much for that! Considering the last time it got serviced they had VagCom, i'm concerned it was never ever reset!
    I'm going Googling!
