    Yet Another Newbie question

I would like to fit a tow bar to carry bikes on it.
    I dont need the electrics.
Wheres the best place in Adelaide and what type?
Do they have to cut the bumper to fit it?

    thanks
    Dave

Theres a big place in Adelaide called Southern Towbars IIRC which would be a good start for a quote. They do a good job, sister had a few fitted to her cars for horse floats etc and they were very reasonably priced and did a great job

Yeah, they will have to cut a hole to get the tow bar through... as far as I've seen on other MK III's

On the smooth top bumpers the rear valence is detachable so u can replace it once u get bored of the tow bar. Also easy to plastic weld it back in *looks to ray*.

I hope you don't plan to tow with it. Hayman reece recon the VR6 is only good for 385kg! I dunno if there is any differance between the models as far as towing ability.

you dont need a towbar to carry bikes, get a strap on bike rack, a good brand is stealth most bike shops can get them for you, we sell them but you are a fairway a way....

and the stealth racks do fit vr6 and mk4 with roof spoilers as ive had both cars... cheers
mk4 the mods begin for round 2 hahahha

I'm almost certain that isn't the case, since after taking off my bumper to paint the valence it was fixed, not removable.

But if you have to cut the bottom textured valence just avoid cutting near the bolts holding the bumper to chassis, otherwise shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Mines had a small notch cut into the lower valance to fit around the tongue plate.
