Is the starter in? Does the car start? I`d try that first and see that the chains are working. If not you will have to take it all apart again and can fix the slave cylinder then.

Agree sutff the clutch throw it in Neutral and see if the car starts and revs nicely! Then play with the clutch.

The starter is in minus one bolt so it's a little loose. There's also one pipe that we haven't put back in because it'll get in the way of what we're working on (coolant radiator>engine)

We haven't put the leads in yet, but I will when we tighten up the starter motor because then it should start.

i recently did my starter motor too and that long bolt was the most pain in the arse thing iv ever had to do lol
there is a bolt on the front connecting the engine mount to the frame i think
its right near the thread which the long bolt bolts too
i loosened it and levered it towards me
sorry if that didnt make sence im not very good at explaining things

Yeah, then you have to bleed it. Make sure the brake reservoir is topped off and open the bleed nipple. If you just wait the fluid runs through under gravity. Wait for the bubbles to stop and nip it up.

Thanks guys. We just need a long 16mm socket to put the starter bolt in, then we'll plug in the leads and start her up. Timing is all fine, since we checked/tested it etc, hoping it is ok on startup now Thanks Gavin for the tip.

Alriiiiight! Everything is ready to go Silly me forgot to buy brake fluid so I haven't been able to bleed the slave cyl yet, but everything else is ready to go (minus coolant) so she'll be starting up tomorrow I'll let you all know how I go. Thanks for all the help!

One last question guys

I'm just wondering, to bleed the slave cylinder, does it matter if I have already bolted it into the gearbox? That was a PITA..I really hope I don't have to undo it again lol.
