Gearbox is out, as is clutch and PP.

Flywheel has been surfaced, new rear main seal installed (85x105x10mm, ID,OD,W for reference), will pick up new clutch kit today, and if the gods permit reinstall at some stage!

Thanks for the help so far!

    Cheers

Well, I've got a new found respect for anyone that has done this...

I'm sorry, but it really is a crap job!

The gearbox has to go in on an angle so that the drivers side driveshaft can clear the flywheel...

All in all, it really just sucks. I'd pull the engine next time for sure!

Good news though, the gearbox is back in, and I'll hopefully tidy up the rest of it tomorrow!

    Cheers

Yeah, pulling the gear box only is a PITA, it can be done but it's not rcommended. I had my motor apart so it was a lot easier to do it this way and put the motor and box back in as a unit.

Catch the diff and swing it right up as far as it will go and the box drops out, never had an issue doing them, try a Vr the diff flange is a different story on them.

My experience wasn't quite that lovely, but others mileage my vary of course!

Getting it out was a fair bit easier than getting it back in also

Anyway, my thoughts for next time are pull the engine and save some stress!

    Cheers
