wow - now this is motoring!

    hey guys,

well the mrs and i have a new addition - '94 mk3 CL diesel, with a 1.9l AAZ engine, k14 turbo. it is ex mk3tdi on this forum. very nicely looked after vehicle!

after a little tweaking, she's running like a dream and i cant get enough of the torque this little monster puts out! full boost from 1600rpm and doesnt run out of huff to full revs. i've increased the fuelling to keep up with the boost and thats about it so far, but an intercooler will be shortly forthcoming, which will improve the already great fuel economy i expect.

mixed driving and not babying it, i havn't got worse than 6.56l/100km. best so far is 5.9l/100km.

    and here are the pics...

i love the 16x7.5 speedline wheels, and the aftermarket headlights really set it apart from other mk3's, which is a real bonus.

its sitting on koni springs and front shocks atm, standard rear shocks.

yeah.... the blue gld is going to hte graveyard unfortunately... - a lot of fond memories in that car, my first. but, i'm keeping much of it to help the LS get into shape and some other mk1's in the family, so it will be around still, just not in one piece.

the LS is staying of course and becoming the fun car. i have big power plans for that car, it will be a rocket, so that i might not wear out the mk3! hahahaha.

Love the sporty diesel. Nice buy - they are hard to find because why would you want to get rid of it? I can't think or a reason except growing family size.
