    is it me or does do a few other things look different/off, like the skirts and the rear bumper, and like the way the fuel cap door thing is sitting, around the headlights and even like the cracks between the doors and boot and stuff

    It probably has misaligned doors and knocked about panels. It has done lots of ks and had a hard life. None of this will stop it blasting around the streets. If you want a tidy looked after example you need to pay more money.

    And of course, the other way to achieve that is to go the 'hard yards' with this one as it'll get up to around the same cost anyway.

    do a good job and it could look much better then the other ones too...

    Anyway as much as id love to take on a project like this... don't really have the time/tools/patience/another car to drive while it would be in bits. Oh and already have a trip to sydney booked, might take a look at dom's if he hasn't sold it, or something else while im down there

    But, ohwell its 3grand?
    A VW in that condition will outlast, outperform, and (possibly) be more reliable than any cheap Kia/rubbish car for the same money.
