offer him $9k for it or tell him to get flapped (to put it in other terms). 100,000km mark is expensive - as is the 200,000km mark. tell him that if he wants anything above 10, then he needs to include warranty+rego and he needs to fix all the leaks/issues.
you have to keep in mind that ALL cars listed online are way overpriced and the owner will have this in mind when he posts it there. there is always a 'bargaining zone' with any car price...
edit: by the way, good work for asking on here (i wish i had) - with all this knowledge, you will be ready and armed to take any over-priced VR6 seller down!
Having just sold a Vr6 and taking into account what I got for mine and what had been done to it, you'd want the car to be absolutely perfect to pay anywhere near 9K.
