Wiper problems

So the motor is still working but it's making a vibrating noise and the wipers aren't moving but i can move them easily with my hand and they both move together so i'm assuming it's not the motor or the linkage?
anyone had any experience with this?

Sounds like the connection from the motor itself to the the wiper linkages isn't meshing right. Especially since it's turning by hand easily.

Looks like it's time to take to it with a screw driver. If nothing else you can clean the leaves out from under there.

thanks, will give it a go, there are a stack of leaves and dirt! down there, as the seal from the glass to the plastic surround has worn out and the plastic has come away from the glass. so once i'm in there is there much to adjust?
