    Winter project.

1 of 65 1995 Aus delivered Ventos. It will end up with some subtle, and hopefully tasteful mods.

    Brilliant mechanic working on it.

Wasn't going to make a thread, but I couldn't help it.

What are some must have mods for a Vento?

    Update:

    These days...

    suspension, then wheels, and done!

I spose if you're into big sound systems, there's plenty of room in the back for some big subs! hah

Cheers, sound system will probably be standard maybe with some better speakers, just to keep it OEM.
Suspension sorted, but it's not all that much lower. Jarred, I reckon you're giving up on it too soon, she has more potential than that surely.

I was just getting you started!

Spend enough time on vortex, and you'll want a VR6T in a shaved bay, with a full retrimmed interior! haha

Managed to go the whole uni semester without touching the car, so after my last exam I had a little tinker to celebrate. Same length as a piece of string mate.

Haha, I know what you mean about being busy during semester. I'm done with exams and I'm after a project to get stuck into.

I look forward to seeing this one done and at one of the meets and having another chat with you mate. Good work so far.

Do it mang, if you have the space, money, and time, have a crack at something interesting Mmmmmmmmmk2 GTI? Yeah, so happy uni is over for a few weeks so I can have a stuff about with the car.

Stripped the grey carpet out (speak now if anyone wants it, it's sitting on top of the bin) along with plastic mouldings, re-carpeted with used VR6 black carpet, plastic trim and seats. Replaced faulty window regs and VR6 door cards replaced grey GL ones. Lost the centre arm rest, but gained some back headrests. I'm getting old because I left all the sound deadening alone.

Note OBD 1 v OBD 2 obsessors, see how the grab handle on the door is one piece on the older card, and two piece in the newer... serious upgrade huh? Also, the blank panel gained a tweater, and the speaker mesh in OBD 1 hid an empty hole. Earlier card has trim all the way down, along with carpet on the outside of the map pocket, that disappeared, and the old card had a light at the bottom corner and the newer doesn't (no idea why they'd ditch that, seems like a good idea with open doors on a dark road.)

Have had some awesome people helping out, so thanks for those who have dropped by and thrown some tools at it with me! Have more plans on the way, its all OEM stuff so don't expect insane engine swaps and turbos and the likes... just cleaning up a daily.

That second pic is starting to annoy me because I can see trim that isn't clipped in, think it might have been done since the pic, but will fix it up tomorrow.
