hey loon, do you have the actual name of the product?

I went to clark's rubber at merrylands today, but the lady couldn't help me out. she said that one clarks location may not have the same stock as another.

I got some duct tape and sealed it up, but if what you are saying is correct and you don't need it, I might just do without.

    just a heads up...

I know this thread is close enough to 4 years old, but just a heads up with this, my windscreen seal has completely eroded away and this happens to heaps of mk3s, but I'd advise fixing it if you can because what's happened to mine is leaves, dirt and **** have gotten into the compartment under the the plastic trim at the bottom of the windscreen where the windscreen wiper motor, computer and air filter for car interior is and it's blocked up a drainage hole on the passenger side for the water, resulting in water getting into the footwells of the passenger side of the car. With heaps of rain recently it got really bad so I thought ****, better do something. Anyway took the trim off, heaps of leaves and crap in the hole on the passenger side but the drivers side one was fine, the water apparently pools up instead of draining through the wheel guard and can get into the footwells. There were water marks on the air filter for the interior so it pooled up pretty high and if left for too long it can ruin the computer and cost a bit. So anyway that's what I learnt today

Ditto. Had the exact same experience. Previous owner had it ('94 VR6) parked outside with largely deteriorated seal at the bottom of the windscreen. Leaves and assorted bits of vegetation had turned to soil. Surely no good and difficult to get good access to clean out. Haven't made the trip to Clarke yet but have cleaned and kept under cover since.

Did you get water in the footwells too? Yeah same situation here, it's like a wet soil type bunch of stuff blocking it. Car wash vacuum cleaner should fix it up, wouldn't mind getting my hands on a compressed air gun too.
