    Will 30mm spacers work? Legal?

    Hey all.
After some experienced opinions on wether this will work.
I'm going to buy the Volk CV rims off Dom but the only problem with is that they aren't wide enough offset to fit over the stock vr6 front calipers. Using 30mm spacers has been suggested. I'm just wondering if this would effect steering or handling (i don't have any experience with them) and also would it be legal? I know in tas you can't have any tyre protruding from under the arches...
Anyway, here is a pic of the rims for reference and any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Do spacers work? Yes, they can do.
    Are they legal? No.

Will anyone really ever know? Probaly not.

My understanding is that spacers put increased load on the bearings. I would not advise if this is the case to use such a large spacer...

2nd that one mate i fitted them at Porsche and they were supplied by Porsche with a Porsche part number, go figure and they were 50mm. I agree with the bearing load comment to though any in some cases , anything that alters offset can increase load on the bearings.

id say it would only change the load on the bearing if you modified the final offset to be greater than the stock.

what is the offset of the rims for them to need such a wide spacer? Will you end up with some crazy poke with spacers that wide?

a "30mm" set of spacers are actually 2 x 15mm spacers as they increase the track by 30mm.

And how many countries think that pod filters are legal, yet they are not in Australia?
    Euro standards vs Aussie standards?

I tried googling them to find out offsets and i'm getting arount +30 for front 16x7s and +35 for rear 16x8s. But i'm not entirely sure. Would it say on the rim? I pm'd dom to find out if he knows.
As for the legality of them, unless they are actually poking out, a cop doing an inspection isn't going to pick up on them anyway. So it's just a case of what they don't know don't hurt them...
