Hey guys so ive recently gotten the wheels i want for my golf cheviot hot wires. Now they are not very wide and i wanna space them out by 10mm or so just wondering if anyone has used any and what brands

You probably do not want to hear this, but they are illegal. The vehicle will not be considered as roadworthy. What that means is that if you are in an accident and the vehicle is towed to an impound yard, you will find you have no insurance because you will not get the chance to take them off.

A better option would be to see if you can do a swap with someone who has ones with the offset you want and they are happy with the offset you have.

VicRoads website, buried deep somewhere. I do remember reading it.
Found it; "Spacers between the wheel and hub are not permitted unless provided by the vehicle manufacturer as original equipment. "

if we are talking legalities, Banding is also illegal fyi.
Spacers all illegal aus wide unless they came standard.
However this doesn't stop most running them.
