8" et30 will only extend an extra 40mm (from stock). Still some room before that's close to the arch. (i'd say about 20mm before it's even close.) Also, it's only 10mm further out from the 7.5 et35. Tyre size will also have effect.

Yes but you will be overtracking it.Last time I checked,no track change was permitted on FWD cars.

Not 100% sure, you mean the inscreased track is illegal? According to the RTA?

    Source/link please?

This has never been and issue for... approximately 100% of people on this forum that have fitted wider wheels. (poke and stretch however, is another story)

i couldnt imagine it to be right... cars come with different wheel widths and offsets from factory.

back on topic, have a crack at the offset calculator in the wheel and suspension section (i have it saved in my favourites...). heights and things like that can also play a part.

It's probably best to check with the Victorian traffic authority. It used to be up here (and it may still be) that you were permitted to go an inch wider than than the widest wheel offered by the manufacturer and 26mm wider in track ie 13mm less offset on RWD cars.On FWD cars, you could go the inch wider on the wheel as long as there was zero track/offset change.

It may have been relaxed but I'll try and find out more for you.I just did some Googling but information seems hard to get.

    Yea, it sounds vaugely familiar.

Technically, yes, it may not be illegal. 99 times out of ten you wont get pinged for it. Hell, how would a policeman even know?

True. Some insurance companies may dig their toes in if there's an accident though.

Every state has more than likely got different legislation.

What tyre size were you planning to use?

Basically i am totally not in my comfort zone with FWD's.

I wanna basically sit it at 100mm with decent fitment for a daily.

What do i need to do this? lol, probably the easiest way ask it...

coilovers, 16x8 all round, roughly ET 25 with a 205/40 as the safer option, but a 195/45 would be better for clearance, given that 100mm is pretty low.

will it be 'legal'? Not really. but if you're going to run at '100mm', you're probably down for pushing the boundaries...

8" wide without poke and rubbing may be fiddly or restrictive to what rims will fit. I'd get it dropped and work from there.

If you are running a slight stretch (still within spec), I don't think it improves handling, just looks. Nothing wrong with that.

You could always measure it, but as the camber geometry will change when it's dropped, best to drop it first.
