What are you specifically asking for? It is a 2.8 , I don't know if I'm right but it looks like mine and mine is a 98 model

Not very helpful photos but it looks like AAA code 12V VR6 that was in the VR6 Golf but also and I stand corrected in some Caravelles.

Im pretty sure all Aus delivered VR6 engines were AAA .

Looks like a 94/95 engine judging by the throttle body . Does it come with an airbox ? If its an OBD imported engine its going to have SAI and EGR

Just trying to figure out if it's the OBD1 or OBD2 vr6 I've been assured it's the AAA code but apparently there's two different kinds?

No idea what you mean by SAI or EGR haha. Sort of just getting into mechanical side of cars..

On the left side of the engine next to two hoses there is a sticker with a serial number, will tell you what kind of engine it is. Even what number VR6 engine that was produced from factory, they followed a sequential order.

Damn. I tried to take as many photos as I can whilst I was up there. It's packed away at a friends house roughly 1 hour drive away. Didn't even think to look at the sticker haha! Just need to try to find out to get an engine loom and ecu for a conversion I'm doing into a MK1

You have an obd1/early motor engine. The only difference in aussie motors is the throttle body and intake manifold
