Unknown body work on mk3???

Hey guys im only just new to the forum and absolutely loving the vr6 scene on here. I dont currently own any model of vw haha, but i am so keen to learn more about these cars as my dad owns a bora 4mo and has got me hooked! I currently drive an n15 nissan pulsar hatch on my red P's but looking for something different. Iv been researching mk3 vr6's non stop in the last few weeks and have stumbled accross a few different variations i guess you could say.. I will post up a few pics of the few iv seen on the internet and if any of you could explain the differences in the body work itd be much appreciated!

i understand the 1st one has a longer bonnet in the middle as far as i can see.. Surely this is a different bonnet made to fit or..??

and the 2nd i was wondering if it was a whole new aftermarket front bumper? Or just be shaved maybe?

answers would be great!!
