What are the different brands for CAI?

Getting sick of thinking about my pod soaking up hot air. What brands are there out there for CAI systems in a VR? I know of BMC, Drift aaaaand that's about it..lol.

Have you tried Bunnings? They have some great products which can provide great air intake and Heat shielding solutions for the everyday tightarse Volkswagen enthusiast and an entire shielding system can be made for as little as $25!

Daaamn that's neat! DIY by far would be the most satisfying and cheapest to do.

Thx Ray and Lachie, my dad pretty much made it tbh, I just did the research and found the materials. Its basically a 3 piece heat sheild with a bracket at the back holding the intake pipe in place (which still some vertical movement which I have to fix), another larger right side panel which, and a lid which slopes down to the left. It was mainly trial and error, with constant adjustments. I started it in March and finished it in July since I was so busy but I'm pleased with the result. I'd make a DIY but considering how much time it took and how exact it now is, I'd have to draw up the intake in autocad to be fair on everyone else.

Have a look at the Neuspeed P-flo mickey, you can actually just buy the head shield and mounts without the filter online, postage should be around $50.

Mick you are right. it would work better if the pipe itself were insulated but i'm pretty sure it would be more efficient than where the current box is. hot air rises and that pipe is lowww. it also doesn't look too close to anything that hot either... is that in a Vr6?
