    Not a cable mate, it's a vacuum pipe. Don't worry about the covering hanging off, as long as the rubber beneath is intact.

    I'm curious aswell. Mine has a T like fitting at the end screw in one side and a super long cable/ hose thing.

    It's connected to the vacuum resovoir?
    It's a/c related

    That's the vacuum line for the re cirulation flap in the AC system.
