spam the forum all you like, youve been warned numerous times about the possible problems and such which you may run into, in the end its your choice. We're not going to make your decisions for you

Basically, you get what you pay for. There have been cheap examples bought for less than $5k and they weren't in tip-top shape. Most required a lot of work (heater-core bypassed, timing chains rattling) and/or have run around the Earth's equator 5 times over. Then again, this is true for almost all cars similar to the VR6. The VR6, dare I say it, isn't as prestigious as it used to be. Yes it's a 2.8L 6-cylinder car in a small hatchback, but it's nigh on 20 years old in a few years time, even the very-well-taken-care-of examples are getting tired. This is why you see so many rebuild/project threads on VR6s here on this forum.

I realise that you're 16 and you feel like that you stepped on a goldmine. We've all been there and when naive, we've all been crushed by the cruel hand of reality. Yes, there are sometimes exceptions - maybe you really have found a super example of a stock VR6 whose seller has recently won the lotto and now wants to get rid of it for a new car, no matter how much he gets for it. But you gotta be ready to spend a whole lot more if it doesn't turn out to be what you dreamed. It's a risk.
