what can and can't you do, in regards to the new P plate laws?

Maybe stick to basic stuff, ie breathing. intake and exhaust. That engine will never be fsat/quick. unless it's in a mk 1

No turbo, no S/C, no V8, some "high performance 6cylinders" are also a no no.

Although i questiono this as I have seen green P-platers (the law has been in force for 3 years now, coming up on 4 (July)) with WRX STI, SS utes etc...so I really don't get it.

That, something which should be clear cut is not "clear cut", so I would find it hard to describe "Engine performance modifications" to you.

I think the safest, most responsible way to do it would be to check with engineers/your local (As it varies with state) authorities prior to doing anything.

On a p-plate wage though, most ould find it difficult to go past exhaust, intake and possibly stretch to a chip (As far as us watercoolers i suspect), as we like balance in our cars right...

There just seems to be lots of "grey areas"..

Whats the diferance between the 1.9L TDI in the Polo and the MK4 Golf?? If there isn't much differance, maybe you cold consider that.

    you poor poor fellows...

Just keep a quiet back box and modded air box. stay under the radar, and you won't have issues with the 5-0.
