I'd probably check the spark plugs and leads as a starting point.

hey lads,
so basically the cars been sitting for a month now, was used just prior to christmas but just for joys-half an hour maybe.
whilst its been parked up, its always started fine-eventually the battery died, which became the source of the need for a jumpstarter, which work everytime until the last.
on the last time, it cranked, but didnt start start, and i could smell some burning followed by some subtle smoke...
so now it wont turn over, is the coilpack the problem? how can i tell?
any advice would be greatly appreciated.

try and clutch start the car and see if it will run .
