    VR6 Very thick oil

I replaced my sump gasket when i changed the oil because it had a leak, and this fixed that leak but now i have another one but its not like the other one because this leak is a blob of oil not a pool of oil and is very thick.
Its coming from the flywheel cover not sure if its the sump bolts above the cover or not, though i thought id ask and see if anyone knows what it is?

Hm... could be the gearbox oil? Manual gearbox oil is thicker (75W90)...

^I agree with Ray. If it is thicker (gearbox oil) and it is leaking from behind the flywheel area, it is probably the input shaft oil seal that is mucked up. You'll know after a while because the oil will contaminate the clutch disc and it will do nothing but slip. Of course you could drop the trans and have a peek too.
