I read somewhere that it is just for coolant to stop ice forming in cooler climates. Can anyone confirm this?
Hey guys I'm using a '97 VR6 throttle body on my 90. I have figured out the pin out but I'm unsure of where the vacuum lines for the idler (?) go to and from.
I was thinking that one would go to the intake hose on the airbox side of the TB and the other on the intake manifold but am just guessing.
Can someone tell me which one goes where in relation to the wiring connector.

Yes, those two pipes are there for warm up in very cold climates, not exactly something you need in [most of] Australia. I often think about disconnecting them since all they do is add extra heat to the throttle body, but then that takes effort...
If they weren't hooked up I wouldn't bother, if a pipe broke I would just bypass it.
(Unless of course someone can tell me it's needed for some reason, but I don't believe it is).
