    Vr6 Power hesitation

    Car - AAA 1994 Mk3 Golf Vr6
    175xxx km's

car seems sluggish, hesisates pretty bad when climbing between 2000-4000 rpm
still pulls same speed through every gear just takes alot longer to get there..
im pretty positive its not a misfire, seems like a air/fuel/ignition problem.
    ive tried :
replaced fuel pump and fuel filter
    cleaned and regapped plugs
    replaced oxy sensor
    replaced leads
replaced coil (last one died about 5000kms ago)

ive kinda run out of options and thought you guys could give me some pointers.

    cheers

    Hey Heysie,

Sounds like you addressed most of the usual suspects. Is there any info you can give, like when does the sluggishness start, cold vs normal operating temp performance etc.

I had a very similar issues, mine turned out to be the coilpack (well more specifically the part that the cable plugs into the coilpack), when the car was cold it ran like a bat out of hell but as the car heated up and the parts started to expand that part in question would expand and lose contact causing sluggish response and bucking. I found this out by pulling over when the car was running bad and wiggling that part and when it made contact the car would purr let go then it began to drop like it was running on 3 or 4 cylinders.
