    You can get the PCV valve separately from the the dealer if you use the one for the Sharan. Only thing is I'm not 100% sure if the PCV valve is exactly same as the mk3 golf VR6. It's still expensive, $137 NZD, but better than $300+ for the PCV and intake.

    What were the measurement/specs for the oil breather & how did you block off the other lines?

    i did the breather fix and I think it was 20mm in diameter. but I got rid of it quick because the fumes would go straight through my vents and kill me inside everytime I stopped at the lights.

    So I'm in the same situation now. Quite frustrating re having to buy the whole intake section. Barloworld said they'd do it for $260 but that's still a lot for parts I don't need. (See pic below). Has anyone done a DIY oil catch can? Is that a logical solution to the problem or just as expensive?

    I currently have some hose straight from the crankcase to intake just means oil residue in the throttle body like mentioned earlier. Looking into doing a catch can soon. Super easy, just gotta find a nice place to mount it.
