    1995 and below, OBD1.
    1996 and later, OBD2.
    If I am wrong then happy to be corrected but that's what I've always thought.

    If you're going to get a chip, will be interesting to see what kind of effect it will have on economy.
    Post results if you can.

    obd 2 is a plug n play whereas obd1 has to be soldered in
    8v Ibiza GTI > 8v mk2 Golf GTI > mk3 VR6 > 8v Ibiza GTI > 2D CL+vr6...
