I'm sitting on about 17L/100km at the moment, very short trips round town especially when I haven't driving the VR6 in a few days doesn't do much for fuel consumption.

    Still enjoying it

The other weekend, my VR6 was being used to go from check point to check point on a scout expedition. 5 hours doing 35km/h in second gear. Stopping every 1km or so.

    28l/100km

You guys also have to take into consideration the fuel that you put in your beasts

if you put the crap stuff in like woolies/caltex etc....your not going to get the best out of the engine...in fact you are doing considerable damage to it.

Try putting in mobile, bp or shell and see if you notice the differnce...i guarantee you will!

best way is to reset trip computer, fill up one week with the crap stuff and see how many ks you get and then the second week put the good stuff in and see what the outcome is.

yeah i average about 10 for combined city (canberra!) and highway. its 1-2 L/100km higher if i'm driving quick, have bikes on the roof, full car or with 95 (i usually use 98 ) octane fuel... although i've had a problem with a faulty thermostat which was always open so the engine was running cold and prob using more fuel than it should. i put in a new thermostat the other day so i'm hoping the fuel consumption will go down a bit...

I seem to sit on about 12.x by the end of a tank. Now by no means do I drive what could be considered a "conservative" fashion, but then I enjoy every second of it

Now either my mother is right and I really do drive like a bat out of hell, or there are some people who REALLY baby their cars round town (or do a lot of freeway driving)...

^^ i get ~12.5 by the end of a tank according to my MFA.

Although i normally get ~450 out of a tank of ~45-50 litres so that works out to be between 10 and 11.5

    Books are fun

I'm pretty much the same as BlackVR6. Pretty sure ive mentioned my figures before. LOTS of freeway driving and I tend to avoid city stuff coz I hate it!
