Here is my VR6 dyno run from many years ago. It is a good example of why you can't compare different dynos. It was done in third gear. The car supposedly had a high flow cat, it definitely had been chipped by Chip Torque and had a K & N filter.

By way of comparison here is a recent dyno run of my Seat Ibiza 2.0 16V. Same type of dyno but a different one and this run was done in fourth.

If you compare these 2 dyno runs it would have the 16V making more kW's than the VR6. Go the 16V.
Of interest is the flat torque curve of the 2.0 16V. Also the A/F ratio of the VR6 whilst it might be difficult to pick up because of the different scale used it appears (to my eyes anyway) to be almost exactly the same as GolfBoy's above.

I've been keen on dyno'ing my VR6, but ive got 270,000km on ze clock. Probably making bugger all kw :(
-
jeez you got a high k jobbie.
I was booked into get a dyno tune, but i couldnt get in that day.
now my clutch is stuffed, so it will have to wait.
-
Yup, mostly country k's though so the engine still goes well.
I wonder how much it is to rebuild a VR6 motor...

heres mine wid 260 on the clock! with a crud press bent 2.25 catback and sum twin 2" rear exit muffler (restriction im guessing ;) ), also iridium plugs . . .

Your AFR is all over the joint too, must be the OBD1 in our early VR's :(

once everyone gets their clutches sorted out are any of you melb guys maybe interested in a dyno day? Not that our cars are overly modified or anything but it may be a fun social event? Im sure across a few forums we could get enuf interest to make a day of it?

If I lived in melb (and I wish I did) then i'd totally be up for it!

I made 105.4fwkw on Protek's dyno in my old VR6. Only mod was a remus.
For reference, my mate's 306 gti-6 made 105.5fwkw on the same day. He had a Carbon induction pipe and exhaust. Both runs were done in 4th
