    VR6 Dash computer

Could anyone give me some more info? I know you have oil temp and your mileage... What is the "km/h" reading? And why is there a second trip computer?

"1" will reset itself if you haven't driven the car in 2 hours where "2" will retain it's info until your reset it manually.

As for the different things on the MFA...

The little clock is time driven.
    km is km driven
    km/h is average km/h
    l/100km is average fuel consumption
    oil is oil temp
    C is outside temp

    Any more questions?

    km/h is the average speed.

trip 1 is from engine start to stop. ie "this trip"
trip 2 is calculation from 0-999kms

So if you travel from A - B and if you Zero TRIP 1 it at half way point, it will calculate average speed and fuel consumption until B. But TRIP 2 calculates the time it was manually reset or when it reached 999kms.

This is from my understanding. I suppose Zero trip 2 at full tank would give most accurate reading.

I had a similar problem Phats. Before I bought my VR the screen was actually nuts, it was all haywire and weird because it wasn't working. The guy who I bought it off had a whole lot of trouble finding a complete working instrument cluster (including your gauges and speedo's) so he eventually had to assemble a working one out of three or four separate instrument clusters he had.

Yours could be fried, or not even connected properly? If you want it fixed, take it to an auto-electrician or similar and ask them to have a quick look and analyse/diagnose issue for you
