Check all the conections. If it ran ok before that leaves one common denominator

Have we established if there's a way to check this before going and purchasing lots of money's worth of replacements?

If I slowly creep up the RPM, it's ok, but if I hit full throttle, it will cut out just when the car usually gets its power. If I hold my foot on the accelerator, the engine wont be running at all, and when I release my foot, the engine kicks back in.

    Any ideas?
Please tell me that you were able to find a fix for this!? I just got a 2007 Passat wagon with the 3.6 and I am having the same issue. I just replaced the high Pressure fuel Pump and I am going to try the low side because I thought it was a fuel issue. Any insight would be very much appreciated!
